Beloit College's James Lazarcik scored a game-high 33 points to lead the visiting Bucs to an 80-75 win over the Illinois College men's basketball team on Saturday in Jacksonville.
Lazarcik was a perfect 10-for-10 from the field and 4-for-4 from the foul line in the first half, tallying 25 points to help the visitors to a 45-35 halftime edge. He finished the game 13-for-14 from the field and 6-for-6 from the foul line.
Brandon Berry led four Illinois College players scoring in double figures with 19 points.
Nathan Kohler and
Zeke Light scored 15 each, while
Chris Marrs added 13. Berry led the Blueboys with six rebounds.
The Blueboys shot 52.1 percent (25-of-48) from the field, 36.4 percent (8-of-22) from 3-point range and 89.5 percent (17-of-19) from the foul line.
Illinois College fell to 7-5 overall and 3-4 in Midwest Conference play. The Blueboys travel to Knox College on Tuesday.
