Webster University grabbed an early goal and that's all that was needed as the visitors topped host Illinois College, 1-0, in a men's soccer game Wednesday.

Patrick McCaffrey scored after grabbing the rebound on another Webster shot just 12:23 into Wednesday's game. Neither team scored the rest of the way.

Scott Workman made nine saves for the Blueboys. Webster outshot IC 15-8, including 10-1 in the first half.

Illinois College fell to 2-1 with the loss. The Blueboys host Westminster College on Sunday.
