A goal from defending Midwest Conference Player of the Year Katie Vanden Avond in the 70th minute provided the difference as the Illinois College women's soccer team fell to St. Norbert College by a 1-0 score Sunday in Jacksonville.

Shannon Jung assisted on Vanden Avond's goal. St. Norbert outshot Illinois College by a 26-8 margin. IC goalkeeper Cat Solberg made 13 saves.

The Lady Blues fell to 4-4-1 overall and 1-1 in Midwest Conference play. They host Iowa Wesleyan University on Wednesday.
