The Illinois College women's soccer team opened Midwest Conference play with a 2-0 win over visiting Lawrence University Saturday at Alumni Field in Jacksonville.
Ally Kjellander and
Ellen Radcliffe scored the goals for IC. Kjellander scored less than a minute into the second half, as
Sarah Skaggs assisted, and Radcliffe scored an unassisted goal in the 62nd minute.
Cat Solberg earned the shutout win for the Lady Blues. Solberg made four saves.
The Lady Blues improved to 4-3-1 overall and 1-0 against MWC competition. They host St. Norbert College on Sunday at 11 a.m.
