Notes: The Blueboys opened the season last Saturday with a 49-13 win at Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana. The Blueboys racked up 465 yards of total offense as Michael Bates threw for four touchdowns and Cecil Brimmage ran for a pair of scores. The Blueboys scored on seven of their first eight offensive possessions. … Illinois College was one of five Midwest Conference teams to open the season with a win. The Blueboys' offensive output of 49 points was the most among MWC teams last week. … Illinois College and Grinnell College are even in the career series between the two schools, as each team has won 15 games. The Blueboys have won the past two meetings with Grinnell, including last year's win in Grinnell, Iowa. … Illinois College received two votes in this week's D3football.com Top 25 poll. … Illinois College was picked to finish second in the MWC in 2013 in a preseason poll of league coaches. The Blueboys received four first-place votes, finishing just behind St. Norbert College in the poll. … Dr. Barbara A. Farley, the 14th president of Illinois College, will take part in today's coin toss.
