Sarah Stover scored in a second straight game to start her collegiate career but it wasn't enough as the Lady Blues fell to host Buena Vista University, 2-1, Sunday at the Buena Vista Classic in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Toni Carson scored for Buena Vista in the seventh minute, but Stover evened things up in the 22nd minute.
Bianca Savarese assisted on Stover's goal. Buena Vista's Naomi Wood netted the game-winner in the 58th minute.
Cat Solberg made four saves for the Lady Blues, who fell to 1-1 with the loss. They return to action Wednesday when they host Webster University at 3 p.m.
