Hannah McGinnis and
Brittney Burgess combined for 50 points as the Illinois College women's basketball team took a 64-60 win at Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin, on Saturday.
McGinnis tallied team-high totals of 27 points and 17 points, while Burgess had 23 points, seven rebounds and four steals in the win.
The Lady Blues trailed at halftime but led by as many as 11 points in the second half. Ripon cut the lead to one point with 16 seconds remaining, but
Holly Wohltman made 3-of-4 free throws at the end to seal the win.
Illinois College improved to 4-3 overall and 3-0 in Midwest Conference play. The Lady Blues are back in action Tuesday night at Millikin University.
