Brandon Berry scored the 1,000th point of his collegiate career but it wasn't enough as the Illinois College men's basketball team lost to Ripon College, 85-62, on Saturday, in Ripon, Wisconsin.
Berry, who scored a team-high 18 points, was the only Illinois College player to score in double figures. Berry reached the 1,000-point milestone when he made a pair of free throws with 8:41 remaining in the contest.
Zeke Light and
Nathan Kohler added eight and nine points, respectively, for the Blueboys. Berry pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. Kohler dished out four assists.
The Blueboys fell to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in Midwest Conference play with the loss. They are back in action on December 16 at Lawrence University.
