The Illinois College men's soccer team finished its season in style, topping Grinnell College by a 1-0 score Sunday in Jacksonville.
Jordan Blair scored in the 78th minute to break the scoreless tie. Blair's goal came off a
Josue Hernandez corner kick.
The Blueboys outshot the Pioneers, 9-6. IC goalkeeper
Scott Workman earned the shutout.
IC finishes the season with an overall record of 10-6-2 and a Midwest Conference mark of 5-4-1, which matches the school record for wins in league play.
Illinois College seniors
Drew Comstock and
Kyle Mason were honored before the game as part of Senior Day festivities.
