Women's tennis scores 8-1 win over Monmouth

The Illinois College women's tennis team ran away with an 8-1 win over host Monmouth College Thursday afternoon at Monmouth.

Tamar Norville, Holly Woelfel, Zippy Abdulmalik, Jovanna Chavez, Brianna Pohlman and Kassey Black were all winners in singles play for IC. The doubles teams of Norville and Woelfel, and Pohlman and Black, were also victorious.

The Lady Blues improved to 6-2 overall with the win. They will play a pair of matches on Sunday, taking on Lake Forest College at Monmouth at 9 a.m., and Cornell College at Knox College in Galesburg at 12 p.m.
