Tom Deppe and Brad Franke won two individual events each, while also helping two relay teams to wins, as the Illinois College men's swimming team scored a 104-53 win at Millikin University Wednesday night. The IC women fell to Millikin, 143-58.
Deppe won the 200-yard backstroke (2:20.40) and 400-yard individual medley (5:05.67). Franke was best in the 100-yard freestyle (51.58) and 200-yard freestyle (1:55.43). Deppe and Franke paired up with Xander Benziger and Jonah Macke-Booth to win the 400-yard medley relay (3:55.84), before teaming with John Whitney and Macke-Booth to win the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:36.26).
Whitney also won the 50-yard freestyle (23.62) and Benziger won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:52.46).
Audrey Brauer won the 50-yard freestyle (27.23) and Elisha Nelson was tops in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:49.51) for the IC women. Brauer and Nelson also teamed up with Katia Swane-Barzowski and Taylor Brien to win the 400-yard freeestyle relay (4:07.29).
