Alex Gagnor tallied his second goal of the 2012 season but it wasn't enough as the Illinois College men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Fontbonne University Tuesday night in St. Louis, Missouri.
Josh Schulz and Tim Menzel scored for Fontbonne, as Taylor Pratte and Charlie Chafin provided the respective assists. Gagnor scored less than two minutes after Menzel's goal, however, to cut the Fontbonne lead in half.
Fontbonne outshot IC 20-5. IC goalkeeper
Trevor Donahue made seven saves.
The Blueboys are now 2-1. They host Buena Vista University on Saturday and Blackburn College on Sunday.
