Men's soccer falls to Monmouth in OT, 1-0

A goal from Monmouth College's Tony Swierczewski late in the first period of overtime provided the difference in a 1-0 loss for the Illinois College men's soccer team Thursday afternoon in Jacksonville.

IC outshot Monmouth 17-16. Blueboys' goalkeeper Trevor Donahue made eight saves, including two in overtime, before the winning goal was scored.

Illinois College fell to 5-4-2 overall and 0-3-1 in the Midwest Conference with the loss. The Blueboys travel to Webster University on Saturday.
