Men's soccer falls 2-1 at Grinnell

Fiifi Nkum's goal in the 9th minute gave Illinois College an early lead but a pair of Grinnell College goals provided the difference in a 2-1 loss Saturday at Grinnell, Iowa.

Nkum's goal was unassisted. Grinnell knotted things up when Benjamin Warner scored on a penalty kick in the 42nd minute. Joseph Brown provided the game-winner just before halftime, in the 45th minute.

The Blueboys were outshot 15-8. IC goalkeeper Trevor Donahue made three saves.

IC fell to 5-3-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the Midwest Conference with the loss. The Blueboys host Monmouth College Thursday at 4 p.m.
