Drew Comstock scored with 17 seconds left in the second period of overtime and the Illinois College men's soccer team scored a 2-1 victory over visiting Eureka College Wednesday in Jacksonville.
Eureka took an early lead on a goal from Daniel Buck, but Comstock tied things up in the 17th minute with his third goal of the season, a header off assists from
Joe Tooley and
Alex Gardner. Neither team scored again until Comstock scored at the 109:43 mark on a deflection in the box.
IC outshot Eureka 37-6. Blueboy goalkeeper
Scott Workman earned the win with two saves.
The Blueboys improved to 5-2-2 with the win. They travel to Grinnell College on Saturday.
