Evan Baker gave the Illinois College men's soccer team a 1-0 lead early in Saturday's match with Lawrence University, but the hosts tallied a pair of goals to earn a 2-1 win in both teams' Midwest Conference opener.

Baker found the net in the 17th minute. Fiifi Nkum provided the assist. Lawrence's Cameron Pieper scored in the 31st minute before Darry Israel scored the game-winner in the 62nd.

Trevor Donahue registered 10 saves for the Blueboys.

IC fell to 4-2-1 overall and 0-1 in Midwest Conference play with the loss. They travel to St. Norbert College on Sunday.
