Lady Blues come up short at Monmouth, lose 6-3

The Illinois College women's tennis team won three matches in singles competition but was swept in doubles play Thursday in a match at Monmouth College. The Lady Blues lost 6-3.

Tamar Norville, Zippy Abdulmalik and Audrey Brauer won singles matches for IC. Kavita Patel, Kassey Black and Josephine Oshiafi came up just short, as did the doubles teams of Norville and Patel, Abdulmalik and Brauer, and Black and Oshiafi.

The Lady Blues fell to 1-3 with the loss. They play Grinnell College and Knox College on Saturday.
