The Illinois College women's basketball team scored nearly half its points from the foul stripe Saturday as it defeated visiting Ripon College, 55-45, in a Midwest Conference game in Jacksonville.
Illinois College shot 69.2 percent (27-of-39) from the foul line in the win.
Brittney Burgess led the way for IC with 13 points, while
Tiffany King and
Hannah McGinnis added 10 each. McGinnis pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds.
Holly Wohltman and
Kayla Bennett added eight and nine points, respectively.
Maddy Keith had two steals.
Illinois College improved to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in Midwest Conference play with the win.
