Brad Franke and Elisha Nelson were each a part of four first-place finishes Saturday as the Illinois College men's and women's swimming teams scored wins over visiting Knox College. The IC men won 117-42. The IC women won 117-85.
Franke won both the 100-yard freestyle (51.19) and 200-yard freestyle (1:53.09). He teamed up with Tom Deppe, Xander Benziger and John Whitney to win the 200-yard medley relay (1:43.06) before pairing with Whitney, Deppe and Jonah Macke-Booth to win the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:35.46).
Nelson won the 200-yard individual medley (2:29.22), 400-yard individual medley (5:31.82) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.18). She was also part of IC's victorious 200-yard medley relay team (2:03.70) along with Taylor Brien, Katia Swane-Barzowski and Audrey Brauer.
Macke-Booth won both the 500-yard freestyle (5:55.83) and 1,650-yard freestyle (18:57.81) for the Blueboys. Other individual winners for the IC men included Whitney (50-yard freestyle, 23.05), Chad Gilliland (200-yard individual medley, 2:24.82), Deppe (400-yard individual medley, 5:03.62) and Benziger (100-yard breaststroke, 1:04.34).
Swane-Barzowski won both the 50-yard freestyle (28.46) and 100-yard butterfly (1:08.35) for the Lady Blues. Brauer won the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.49).
