Notes: Illinois College enters today's game following a 34-31 win over Monmouth College last Saturday at Monmouth. The win was the Blueboys' first over the Fighting Scots since 1996. Cecil Brimmage ran for 174 yards and Dakota Lammy scored three rushing touchdowns in the Blueboys win. … Kicker Matt Newman was named the Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week for the third time this season after kicking a pair of field goals and going 4-for-4 on PAT attempts in the win. Newman is a perfect 45-for-45 on PAT attempts this season. … Illinois College currently ranks as the sixth-best offense in Division III at more than 527 yards per game. The Blueboys also rank in the top 10 in Division III in first downs (6th, 25.75 per game), sacks allowed (6th, 0.5 per game), and scoring offense (8th, 43.5 points per game). … Illinois College is 0-15 in the all-time series against Cornell. The string of losses started in 1983 when Illinois College joined the Midwest Conference and ended in 1997 when Cornell left the league.
