Brittney Burgess led a pack of six Lady Blues scoring in double figures as the Illinois College women's basketball team scored an 80-48 win over Blackburn College Saturday at the Beth Baker Classic at Wheaton College.
Burgess scored a team-high 19 points.
Hannah McGinnis had 12 points, while
Kelly Lonergan and
Haylee Althoff chipped in 11 points each coming off the bench.
Holly Wohltman and
Tiffany King added 10 points apiece.
McGinnis pulled down a team-high seven rebounds, while Burgess, King and Althoff grabbed six each.
Jill Friedrich dished out a team-high five assists and
Maddy Keith had three steals.
Illinois College improved to 1-1 with the win. The Lady Blues travel to MacMurray College for a 7 p.m. game Monday night.
