Brooks spent his time at IC as a coach for football, track and field, and cross country. He helped transform the IC Track and Field program into a perennial national contender. In 2004, Mike piloted the squad to its first indoor conference championship in school history. For his efforts, Brooks was named the Midwest Conference Coach of the Year that season.
