Won Most Valuable Player awards in track for the 1977, 1978 and 1979 seasons and set records in the 50 and 100 meters, long jump and 400 meter relay. She claimed second-place finishes at the 1979 state track meet in four events. Her athletic credits include winning the Al Miller Academic Award in swimming and capturing a school-record point total in diving.
