Played basketball all of his four years at Illinois College and played baseball during the 1974-75 season. Chosen All-Prairie College Conference in basketball, NAIA All-District 20 in 1977-78 and was co-captain of the team his senior year. During his four years at Illinois College the Blueboys never lost to MacMurray.
