One of the first stars for the Illinois College women’s track & field program, Jan Pohlman was a four-year letterwinner for the Lady Blues and a captain of the team as a senior. She set school records in the discus in 1979, the javelin in 1980 and ran a leg of the 400-Meter Relay which set a school record in 1980 as well. Her throws in the javelin in 1980 and the discus in 1981 earned her the status of NCAA Division III Illinois State Champion.
