Vandeford was a four-year letter winner and captain of the Blueboys baseball team during his time at IC. He was a First Team All-Conference selection during the 2010 and 2011 seasons for his efforts at shortstop. He is currently posted in the IC record book in multiple categories. He is tied for second all-time in hits with 146. His career records include ranking second in at bats with 469, tied for third in runs with 102, tied for seventh with 175 total bases, ranks seventh in runs batted in with 81, tied for fifth with 27 doubles, tied for fifth with 53 walks, and ranks sixth with 36 career stolen bases.
