Illinois College Athletics

Playing four years under Joe Brooks for the football team, Watson walked away with a long list of honors and awards including 1964 Rookie of the Year, 1965 honorable mention all-conference, 1966 all-conference and Most Valuable Player, and 1967 all-conference and defensive captain. Watson went on to coach football and wrestling at Rantoul and Westville before becoming athletic director and assistant principal at Westville.
